Prosperity is of God and He wishes everyone of His child to have an all round prosperity. 3 John 1: 2 says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” Can you see that it is God’s desire for you to prosper? Prosperity is in the salvation package you received from the Lord the day you got born again. So to claim that prosperity is not God’s desire for Christians as claimed by some Christian folks is lie from the pity of hell.

Understand that prosperity is all encompassing. It includes salvation, peace, joy, divine health, financial prosperity, successful marriage and relationships, fruitfulness, sound mind etc. God wants you to prosper in your finances, health and soul – everywhere. Praise God!

Everyone that walked with God in the Bible all prospered. Even though who came to God poor became wealthy. Examples are Abraham. He was very rich in substance. “Abram was very rich in livestock, silver, and gold Genesis 13: 2. What of Isaac, Abraham’s son? He was also very wealthy. “He became a very rich man, and his wealth continued to grow” Genesis 26: 13. Jacob one of the sons of Isaac was also very rich. “Thus Jacob became exceedingly prosperous. He owned large flocks, maidservants and menservants, and camels and donkeys” Genesis 30: 43.

Furthermore, David was exceedingly wealthy because he walked with God. “Moreover, because of my delight in the house of my God, I now give for it my personal treasures of gold and silver, over and above all that I have provided for this holy temple: three thousand talents of gold (gold of Ophir) and seven thousand talents of refined silver, for the overlaying of the walls of the buildings” 1 Chronicle 29: 3 – 4. Solomon was very rich to the point that he offered so much to God. “And King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand head of cattle and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep and goats. So the king and all the people dedicated the temple of God” 1 Chronicles 7: 5. So you will prosper if you also walk with God. To live in the reality of your prosperity in Christ Jesus, you must play by a set of rules different from that of world. “You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day” Deuteronomy 8: 18.  The principles you must follow are paying your tithe, sowing financial seeds in church, giving goodwill offerings, sponsoring the gospel and sowing into the anointing in your local church. “Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need” Malachi 3: 10. Also ensure you deal honestly in all your business transactions. Then learn to give of your substances to others. “Give and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you” Luke 6: 38.
