Every individual have self esteem. Self esteem means what you belief about yourself, your worth, and value. Self esteem plays an important role in everything you do. It influence what you think about yourself, how you see yourself and the choices and decisions you make.
Many people experience low self-esteem which makes them always question their worth and value. Your low self esteem may be as a result of negative comments from parents, family members, society, teacher, or even a spouse. Their negative comments may have made you feel like you are worthless. But no matter what anybody say about you, you have to know that you are precious to God. God places a great value on you which is why He sent his only son to die for your sins on the cross of Calvary. God believes in you, He loves you, He places great value on you, and you need to also do that for yourself.
Here are some tips to help improve your self esteem.
Believe In Yourself
Be positive about yourself. What you think about yourself matters more than what anybody says or think about you. If you believe in yourself that you are beautiful, you will always feel beautiful no matter what anybody says about you. So when you start feeling low and negative thoughts are coming to your mind, shake them off and replace those negative thought and feelings with positive one. Get up and make a move, nobody will ever see you until you see yourself.
You Are What God Says You Are
As a Christian, you need to redefine your self esteem that you are who God says you are. You are strong (Joshua 1:9), you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalms 139:14), you are a child of God (Galatians 3:26), you are beautiful (1 Peter 3:3-4). So do not allow anybody to look down on you, you are created in God’s image and you are loved by Him.
So when you start feeling low, remembers who God says you are and be happy. You can even write it down and read it out when you start feeling low.
Take Good Care Of Yourself
Treat yourself like a queen or king that you are. Eat healthy and nutritious food, be physically active, get enough rest, practice good hygiene, always put a smile on your face, walk elegantly, dress nicely and elegantly, and be confident. Your outward appearance matters, so take good care of yourself.
Be Confident About Yourself
How do you present yourself to other people? Do you stand straight and look into their eyes? Do you speak nicely? Do you hold your head up high? All these are signs of confidence. Check yourself to see where you are lacking, work on yourself and correct the things that need to be corrected. You don’t have to rush yourself, just take it easy. Practice brings about perfection.
I hope all the points or tips listed above will help you boost your confidence and increase your self esteem.
